PSI leads the implementation of USAID’s 5-year Countywide Sanitation Activity (CWSA). We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to support the project’s ambitious goal of achieving a sustained end to open defecation and adoption of basic sanitation by all households in 5 counties of Liberia. Currently in the second year of implementation, the project will reach its goal through successful achievement of four Results: improved governance of the sanitation sector, the adoption of key sanitation behaviors, strengthened sanitation markets, and increased access to financing.
This ambitious, learning-oriented project seeks equally ambitious and curious staff to bring creativity, energy, and an entrepreneurial spirit to achieve project objectives. This is a superb opportunity for a passionate development professional with at least ten years of experience in managing donor-funded projects and an interest in developing technical competencies in market-based sanitation and sanitation behavior change. It will appeal to a development professional wishing to take the career step into a senior management position (such as Deputy Chief of Party [DCOP] or Technical Director) for a USAID-funded activity.

Job Description: Senior Project Manager
Position Overview:
The Senior Project Manager is a national-level position, based in Monrovia, that will entail frequent program oversight visits to CWSA’s county-level activities in Lofa, Nimba, Bong, Rural Montserrado, and Grand Bassa. The Senior Manager will play an important role in ensuring timely, responsive, and high-quality integrated technical program delivery at the county level and in writing and refining written program deliverables, such as work plans and progress reports. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Senior Manager will work collaboratively with the wider CWSA technical teams, project partners, and government to ensure timeliness in work planning and program reporting and contribute to high-quality program output across all result areas.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of work experience in international development programming settings, possess strong writing skills, and demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities. Infographic skills and the ability to present complex data and information in simple text and interesting visuals is an added advantage. The post holder must have a high level of verbal and written English proficiency and the demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written outputs ready for donor submission.
