Job Title: Site Supervisor – (x1)

Location: Grand Bassa County

Reporting To: Program Manager and Health Programme Coordinator

Responsible For: N/A

Contract duration: Fixed Term

Job Purpose: To provide direct supervision and oversight of construction activities undertaken by Concern, either directly or through partners and contractors and ensuring adherence to agreed quality standards. The Site Supervisor will also monitor construction activities for compliance with national regulations and agreed milestones and completion timelines.

Responsibilities: In coordination with WASH Coordinator, conduct need and technical assessment of construction activities envisaged in the programme plans and develop designs and budget; Supervise, monitor and evaluate the construction components and ensure quality, standards and adherence to work design and specifications. Work with contractor/Partners and process contractor and or partner payment requests following satisfactory completion of agreed works, with all necessary supporting documents and certification. Supervise works undertaken by contractors/ partner, provide technical guidance and carry out periodic work measurement. Process contract/partner payment requests with all necessary back up documents and certification. Liaise with the Manager and produce job completion certificates on job completed by the contractor or partners. Train beneficiaries on use, repair and maintenance of constructed project facilities. To document all project information including GPS mapping and filing the data/information as required by Concern. In collaboration with Line Manager, produce periodic work-plans and reports in accordance with acceptable standards in consultation with other team members. Prepare project concept notes for trainings including budget. Provide detail technical evaluation of contractors at the end of the construction for future references

Community Engagement: Mobilise and organize communities to get proper orientation on projects before the implementation begins. Work with communities to identify correct programme target groups as per the WASH programme priorities; paying particular attention to gender representations, representation of minority groups including disable and elderly persons. Assist programme participants and communities to identify resources and skills required, and facilitate necessary training and capacity building activities with the support of the programme team.

Experience & Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering; or Vocational training in a relevant field from a recognized institution At least 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in construction activities.

Experience in monitoring of construction works, structural appraisal and development of Bills of Quantities

Ability to ride motorbike
