Oragon Group of Companies is launching a new automotive distribution venture in Liberia and is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Spare Parts Stock Keeper to manage the receipt, storage, control, and issuance of automotive spare parts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate spare parts inventory records, ensuring proper storage and identification of parts, and supporting the efficient operation of the workshop and after-sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive all incoming spare parts and verify quantities and condition against purchase orders, invoices, packing lists, and delivery documents.
  • Inspect received items for shortages, damage, or discrepancies and immediately report any differences.
  • Properly label, categorize, and store spare parts according to the company’s inventory system.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean, and properly organized spare parts store.
  • Ensure every spare part has an appropriate storage location and can be easily identified and retrieved.
  • Maintain accurate records of all spare parts received, issued, returned, transferred, or adjusted.
  • Record all stock movements promptly in the inventory system and/or approved stock records.
  • Issue spare parts only against properly authorized documentation.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory counts.
  • Reconcile physical stock against inventory records and immediately report any shortages, excess stock, or unexplained discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving spare parts and trigger timely replenishment
  • Assist in preparing spare parts replenishment and purchase requirements.
  • Monitor frequently requested parts and provide information to management to support purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of damaged, defective, obsolete, or returned spare parts.
  • Control access to the spare parts storage area and safeguard company inventory against loss, theft, damage, or unauthorized use.
  • Assist with identifying spare parts using part numbers, vehicle models, catalogues, and other available reference information.
  • Coordinate with the workshop and sales teams to ensure required spare parts are available when needed.
  • Work closely with the Accountant to ensure that inventory records and financial stock records are properly reconciled.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing for all inventory transactions.
  • Support the establishment and improvement of spare parts inventory procedures and internal controls.
  • Immediately report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, suspected losses, or control weaknesses to management.
  • Perform other stockkeeping and inventory-related duties assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have:

  • Previous experience as a Stock Keeper, Storekeeper, Inventory Clerk, Spare Parts Clerk, Warehouse Assistant, or in a similar position.
  • Experience handling automotive spare parts will be a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of stock control and inventory management procedures.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and properly account for stock movements.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using inventory or stock management software is mandatory.
  • Ability to identify and organize items using part numbers, descriptions, and product codes.
  • Ability to work effectively with workshop, sales, purchasing, and accounting personnel.
  • Ability to perform regular physical stock counts.
  • A high level of honesty, integrity, reliability, and personal accountability.
  • Ability to work independently while strictly following established company procedures and controls.
  • Willingness to work in a new and developing automotive business environment.

Previous experience in an automotive dealership, spare parts business, workshop, warehouse, or inventory-based company will be a strong advantage.
