MISSION/CORE PURPOSE

  • To develop and drive projects implementation across various segments.
  • To ensure the deployment of all banking products and services and drive usage
  • To achieve maximum profitability from projects that have been implemented
  • Maintain cordial working relationship with Financial Institutions, third party processors and ensure that all projects are executed timely
  • To implement brand management and architecture and communications that are congruent with MTN Liberia Marketing strategy, brand, and value propositions
  • To support the management of traditional media and branding operations and lead the execution of specific traditional media and branding projects as directed by the unit head.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop mobile Money projects
  • Deliver Savings and loans products within the stipulated timeline
  • Deliver business targets set by Manager, Mobile Money in accordance with the overall Lonestar Cell MTN strategy
  • Develop User Requirement Specification (URS) document and conduct User Acceptance test (UAT) for the respective projects before Go Live
  • Work with IT, third party processors and respective partners on the successful implementation of various designated projects
  • Ensure optimal utilization of all assigned tools and resources.
  • Ensure successful roll-out of all projects within the expected time frame
  • Drive the Mobile Money Eco System Development
  • Ensure the growth and usage of all implemented projects and drive profitability
  • Handle queries from designated financial institutions, third party processors, consultants and partners
  • Ensure that all partnered Financial Institutions Branches are actively driving Mobile Money transactions
  • Prepare and compile daily, weekly, and monthly activities report and share with other stakeholders (Direct Sales & Accounts Receivables).
  • Prepare key status report for presentation at executive committee meetings, war-room, point of sales, CEO, WECA and Operations dashboard
  • Promote a ‘MTN centric’ and ‘partnership approach’ to develop strong relationships with other working groups and ensure adherence to Group governance and Central Bank Regulations
  • Help support the Manager: Mobile Money in providing strategic direction for Mobile Financial Services by analyze

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education

  • Minimum of 4 years’ tertiary qualification in Information Technology, project management, Marketing, or related subject
  • Masters’ degree and technical certification are added advantage
  • Bachelor’s Degree in commerce (marketing, Advertising, Business in Administration, Commercial, etc. Demography or related discipline
  • Bachelor degree in areas with strong analytical subjects (Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Science or Mathematics)
  • Post-graduate qualification is preferred

Experience

  • 3-4 years experience in Information Technology, project management or related field
  • 2 years experience in a telecommunications, mobile financial services project management, financial institution project management and implementation role
  • Experience in field visit
  • Track-record in implementing Digital Financial Services projects
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous.
  • Proven track record in managing processors, partners and consultants that you have worked with to implement projects
  • Fluent in English preferable
  • Knowledge of risk and regulatory laws of the Mobile Financial Services industry
  • Technical knowledge on project implementation
