MISSION/CORE PURPOSE
– To Design, develop, document, and maintain reports/dashboards using Business Intelligence tools and provide operational business information for day-to-day running of the business.
– Maintain accuracy and integrity of MTN Liberia Key KPIs reporting (Subscriber Numbers and Revenue)
– Provide enhanced data analytics to enable data driven decision and new value propositions
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
– Translate business needs to technical specifications
– Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g., reporting tools)
– Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g., MicroStrategy)
– Create tools to store data (e.g., OLAP cubes)
– Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
– Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
– Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
– Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
– Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
– Develop and update technical documentation
– Assist in business report generation to internal and external customers for business decision making.
– Assist in data administration, modelling and integration activities in data warehouse systems.
– Implement business intelligence solutions to achieve data reporting and analysis goals.
– Support the development of business intelligence standards to meet business goals.
– Recommend enhancements and modifications to optimize business intelligence processes.
– Address business intelligence queries and issues in a timely fashion.
– Maintain documentations for all business intelligence processes.
KEY TASK
– Review performance metric dashboards prepared on various performance metrics and provide input to the manager
– Set up and manage ad hoc meetings for day-to-day operational requirements as and when required
– Timely notification of escalations to the Manager
– Resolve escalations as per defined escalation / resolution procedures
– Ensure effective execution of day-to-day operations
– Ensure the delivery of the reports within the timeline and according to customers requirement:
– Review performance metric dashboards prepared on various performance metrics and provide input to the manager
– Set up and manage ad hoc meetings for day-to-day operational requirements as and when required
– Timely notification of escalations to the Manager
– Resolve escalations as per defined escalation / resolution procedures
– Ensure effective execution of day-to-day operations
– Ensure the delivery of the reports within the timeline and according to customers requirement:
o Manage various kind of channel for report delivery including SMS, SAS Folder, OBIEE, Database table
o Monitoring of the report delivery and proactive action in case of failure
o Develop new techniques to execute, monitor, and catch-up reports more efficiently
o Provide hourly, daily weekly and monthly revenue report to the business
– Implementation and support of DataMart’s, reports, platforms, etc. according to the business need:
o Analyse business requirement
o Implementation or updating procedures, functions, scripts, etc. in PL/SQL, BASH, etc. to satisfy the need of the customer.
o Deal with external vendor to have (and/or) understand new data sources
o Organize UAT session with customer to validate integration
o Development & Maintain ExCom dashboard for business visibility
– Organize sessions with stakeholders to anticipate needs
– Provide operational report to support tactical activities on the field
QUALIFICATION
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology, Engineering, or any relevant study
– 2-5 years of experience
– Fluent English speaker
– Basic programming/testing skills
– ITIL Certification is an advantage
EXPERIENCE
– Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Business Intelligence/ data science area
– Familiarity with BI technologies (Microsoft Power BI, OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition), ODI (Oracle Data Integrator), Data warehouse/OLAP)
– Experience working in an agile development environment in a medium organization
– Experience in supervising others is an advantage
– Track record of impactful innovation in Business Intelligence/ data science area
– Practical Experience in integrating Data Systems, ETL framework with BI Tools and provide secure access to presentation layer to respective
departments and team members as needed.
