MISSION/CORE PURPOSE
The Specialist, Events and Sponsorship will primarily focus on driving brand activation, subscriber engagement, and supporting B2B lead generation, while maximizing the return on investment (ROI) of commercial partnerships (e.g., sports leagues, music festivals, and tech expos).The role is expected to leverage these activities to drive SIM card and device activations, strengthen network authority, and accelerate the adoption of digital services.

In addition, the Specialist will be responsible for the design, execution and management of Lonestar Cell MTN’s internal corporate events and external sponsorship portfolio. The incumbent will ensure that all events and sponsorships are translated into measurable business outcomes, including retail sales growth, enhanced customer loyalty, and high-impact brand visibility.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Performance Areas :

· Sponsorship Asset Management: Maximize corporate partnerships (e.g., major sports stadiums, music festivals, gaming tournaments). Ensure contractual obligations like VIP ticket allocations, logo placements, and commercial rights are fully utilized.

 

· Experiential Brand Activations: Create high-tech, interactive event spaces (pop-up tech zones, demo areas, Brand engagement spots) that encourage attendees to test products, upgrade plans, create viral moments.

 

· B2B Tech Events & Expos: Plan and execute corporate seminars, product launches (e.g., Security, corporate connectivity), and press engagements aimed at enterprise clients.

 

· Internal Event Coordination: Oversee internal corporate initiatives, including Year End Gatherings, retail sales incentive awards, and company-wide town halls.

 

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Legal team for contract compliance, the Marketing team for creative deployment and the Product EBU and MFS teams for various events.

 

· Vendor & Agency Management: Supervise external experiential marketing agencies, production crews, AV specialists, and branding vendors.

 

· External Institution Tie-ups: Tie up with Various educational and HVC (resorts) Institutions

 

Performance Indictors (KPIs)

· On-site customer acquisition (e.g., number of new subscriptions or app downloads during an event).

· Return on Sponsorship Investment (ROSI) and overall media reach value.

· Media impressions and social media engagement generated from sponsored events.

· Timely deployment and execution of event

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education

· University degree, preferably in marketing and/or Business Administration. Master’s degree would be a plus

· At least 3-5 years managing large-scale commercial events or corporate sponsorships, ideally within telecom or entertainment sectors

· in event, sponsorship or brand management

· Experience in telecoms

Experience

· Deep understanding of the telecom landscape, digital entertainment apps, on ground activations and how to showcase technical infrastructure (like live streaming) to the public.

· In-depth and thorough knowledge of consumer psychology & behavior
