JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Storekeeper Workshop

CLASSIFICATION: A2

REPORT TO: CMR / TM

CONTRACT TYPE: Full-Time

DEPARTMENT: Workshop

ABOUT THE STOREKEEPER ROLE

The storekeeper manages daily activities specific to the workshop department, which include processing postings, receiving and distributing supplies, conducting inventories and inventory control tasks, and overseeing purchases as outlined below.

DETAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the reception, storage, dispatch, and daily management of the workshop department’s materials and spare parts stock.
  • Ensure the conformity of material and spare parts received.
  • Ensure the management of inventories: control of the rotation of goods, verification of their availability, procurement from suppliers, tidying, cleaning, and inventory.
  • Keep a record of purchases, receiving, and restocking.
  • Maintain an automated supply inventory database.
  • Replenish supply inventories following established guidelines.
  • Replenishing stock inventories following established company guidelines.
  • Managing the store layout.
  • Supervising other staff members and maintaining a record of material usage.
  • Receiving, loading, and shelving all supplies.
  • Performing stock-related tasks such as returning, packaging, and labeling.
  • Inspecting deliveries for discrepancies or damage.
  • Reporting damaged inventories for record-keeping and reimbursement.
  • Rotating stock and disposing of surplus and expired quantities.
  • Coordinating and handling freight and equipment movement.
  • Cross-verifying the monthly report at the end of each month.
  • Ensuring proper completion of documentation to place an order and purchase.
  • Generating a Material Received Report promptly.
  • Work closely with Workshop Managers to align inventory availability with production and shipping schedules.
  • Ensuring proper storage of goods following the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.
  • Manage datafor inventory.
  • Ensure the secure storage of all items within the warehouse.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS (Education, Training, Experience, Skills).

  • A high school diploma is required, and an advanced certificate in warehousing and stock management is a plus.
  • Few years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to pay close attention to details
  • Goal-driven.
  • Self-Motivated
  • Knowledge of logistics, Supply chain management, or business administration
  • Proficiency in computer, excel is a must
  • Data Entry management
  • Good Communication skills
  • Inventory Management Proficiency, and
  • Flexibility.
