POSITION: Tax Manager
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Accounting & Tax
DEPARTMENT: Finance
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Oversee Orange Liberia and its subsidiary’s tax planning, preparation, and filing. Build and maintain relationships with departments and individuals to provide tax support or services. May also review company budgets and financial documents/contracts to provide tax advice.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms – CIT/TP/WHT & NASSCORP
- Maintain tax balances on the general ledger
- Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks
- Provide advice and guidance on all tax-related matters
- Work with finance and other cross-functional teams to implement and improve end-to-end tax processes and procedures
- Manage and facilitate income tax and transfer pricing audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc. in consultation with Tax Advisor.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and create strategies to capitalize on changes
- Training the finance team for all new regulations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Degree in Finance/Economics or its equivalent
Minimum experience:
- Minimum four (4) years experience in a similar role
- You have proven advisory and compliance experience across direct tax, indirect tax, international tax and transfer pricing
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
