Tender to Construct and Rehabilitate Wells and Latrines

Tender Reference Number: CWL-WELLS&LATRINE-02-2025

Background

Concern Worldwide (Concern) is an international humanitarian organization dedicated to tackling poverty and suffering in the world’s poorest countries. We work in partnership with some of the world’s poorest individuals and communities, enabling them to improve their lives, as well as using our knowledge and experience to influence decisions made at a local, national and international level to significantly reduce extreme poverty. In the project location in Grand Bassa and Rivercess, Concern has a large and well-equipped field office with over 70 staff working across Grand Bassa and neighboring Rivercess. We have previously designed and successfully implemented programs targeting primary education; food security and livelihoods; health and nutrition; water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); and gender. Since 2016, Concern has been a member of the Liberia WASH Consortium and Epidemic Preparedness and Response Consortium. Concern’s strategic focus in Liberia is on improving the nutritional status of extremely poor households and communities, achieved through: 1) The implementation of integrated programs at the household and community level, 2) Engagement at the district and county level, and 3) Advocacy work at the national level. We recognize that contributors to poor nutrition and food insecurity are multidimensional, therefore our work builds on our experience and expertise in improving nutrition outcomes through an integrated approach comprised of nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive responses – as well as decades of trust and goodwill we’ve fostered in the region with each of the three of the above key stakeholder groups.
