Job Brief
The core functions of the Training Consultant is to conduct and equip senior-level security officers with the skills and knowledge to become effective trainers. The incumbent will teach participants how to design, facilitate, and evaluate training sessions, empowering them to transfer knowledge and skills to others within SEGAL, particularly field based. The goal is to build a pool of competent instructors who can then train more people, creating a multiplier effect for knowledge dissemination. The ToT training sessions are designed to build a pool of competent instructors who can then teach the material to others.
The Training Consultant is also responsible to oversee the conduct of Guard Basic and Refresher security training to newly recruited officers and inhouse security officers respectively. The post holder is tasked for ensuring that training provided to Security officers meet or exceed required standard as set forth in SEGAL’s Training manual and Policy; will also make sure that discipline for security officers is always maintained, demonstrate an instructional leadership towards all security officers. The TC will, in coordination with Human Resources Manager professionally develop specific tailor-made training programs to suit specific training needs to customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Analyze and evaluate our current training and development programs
· Conduct gap analysis to identify the training needs of our Company
· Advise on industry-specific training courses, tools, and software that employees should use
· Prepare teaching and educational material for training sessions and workshops
· Provide guidance on the implementation of current and future training programs
· Create or update relevant training policies and procedures
· Use performance metrics to track and evaluate the effectiveness of training plans and propose modifications
· Collect trainee feedback, identify obstacles to learning, and come up with concrete solutions
· Conduct, deliver and manage security training to Security Officers
· Oversee and manage the whole operational recruitment and training cycle from selection, vetting, training
· Collaborate with the in-house Training Coordinator to design or adapt training materials and delivery mechanisms to respond to needs and contexts, as well as innovations in the training approach based on new evidence
· Provide regular reports to the HR Manager regarding training initiatives, scheduling and effectiveness of employee and organizational development initiatives
· Collate, record and report on training data to the HR Manager
· Visit and make a periodic follow up for security officers on posts to see if they are compliant to standards and report any nonconformity to Training the HR Manager.
· Conduct and facilitate training sessions, presenting information clearly and concisely to various audiences

A) Accountability
The Training Consultant is accountable to the Administrative Manager for his/her responsibilities stated in this job description. These responsibilities will be monitored and managed through the mid-year and annual performance reviews and supported through the monitoring of their KPIs.

Qualifications and Experience
· University degree in Business Administration, HR, Education, or any related field
· A portfolio of previous training and development consulting experience with relevant case studies
· Expert knowledge of best practices in training and development in the private security industry, workplace learning methods, and educational technology resources
· Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as EdApp or Schoology
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Certifications (for example, CPTM) will be considered a plus
