Job Title: Transport Supervisor (x1)
Location: Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County
Reporting To: Logistics Manager
Responsible For: Fleet Assistant, Drivers, Vehicle and motorbike Mechanics
Job Purpose: This position is responsible for the transport function for Concern Liberia ensuring safety and efficiency at all times. Ensure that Concern Transportation guidelines are adhered to at all times and that Fleet licensing & registration are properly executed as per Liberia rules and regulations. Consolidate and coordinate movement plans ensuring transport is managed in and effective, efficient and sustainable manner. Oversee and supervise quality of vehicles repairs undertaken by mechanics and ensure integrity and transparency on parts and maintenance.
Main Duties & Responsibilities – Fleet Movement & managements:
Scheduling and planning the use, movement, maintenance and repairs of vehicles thereby facilitating the most cost effective delivery of transport services to programmes. Provide PMS(preventive maintenance Schedules) guides for vehicles, bikes and generators; ensuring the compilation and completion of monthly transport reports including the analysis of transport performance; oversee effective and efficient utilization of vehicles & bikes, based on Concern Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including vehicle maintenance and fuel management and control; ensure effective utilization, fuel management & accountability, repairs and control of the fleet in Grand Bassa & Rivercess; ensure all vehicle have valid licenses, registration & insurance etc, ensure drivers/riders are accountable with tools, First Aid, Health and Safety policies etc on vehicles and bikes; participate in Fleet Forum webinars and sustainable fleet management trainings.
Main Duties & Responsibilities – Staff Management:
Directly manage Concern’s Liberia, transport assistant, drivers and mechanics ensuring that work schedules are managed effectively and efficiently. Supervise over time, duty and leave roster, disciplinary cases etc. ensure that Concern Transport policy and procedures are implemented including completion and filing of all appropriate forms; assist the Logistics Manager in assessing the suitability and appropriateness of Concern’s fleet, locations accountability, security and SOPs; ensure that transport, maintenance and repair and any other contracts are drafted, approved and signed by the respective authorised persons; ensure that proper legal documentation including Goods Delivery Notes, Customs Documents, Tax exemption letters, insurance policies, No Liability forms etc. as relevant with running vehicles are in place or displayed; ensure vehicle & bikes files and records, incidents, drivers performance, vehicle histories, disposal etc. are well kept and filed correctly and securely; ensure proper reporting and documentation involving vehicle or motorcycle incidents/accidents involving drivers to Line Manager and respective authorities; report and document problems encountered in relation to transport, good loading/offloading and dispatch, repairs and services, and corrective measures taken; perform any other duties that maybe assigned by Line Manager.
