POSITION/JOB TITLE: CAT Mechanic LOCATION: Yekepa, Nimba County
REPORTING TO: Maintenance Supervisor BUSINESS UNIT: AM Liberia
PRIMARY FUNCTION OF JOB
Mission:
We’re looking for a hardworking professional who enjoys meeting challenges and surpassing
Manager/Supervisor’s expectations.
You will perform a variety of tasks as CAT Mechanic to repair, operate and refurbish CAT Equipment.
Perform installation, repair and replace mechanical parts in CAT fleet, and,
should have knowledge in basic Preventive and Predictive Maintenance.
MAJOR DUTIES OF JOB HOLDER
Main Responsibilities:
Performs repairs and replaces damaged or defective parts on an equipment
Carries on with disassembling and re-assembling mechanical components
facilitates oil changes and changing filters on CAT fleet
Inspects equipment upon completion of work to ensure performance standard and ensures specific
functions are operating
performs special requests and functions from supervisor regarding mechanical parts
provides routine maintenance, ensuring CAT parts are properly functioning and in line with safety
standards
uses a variety of tools and equipment to fix and replace parts on equipment
Education Requirements for this position (Formal qualifications)
Essential
At least a high school graduate
Completion of Vocational training as a mechanic
Successful experience as a relevant CAT Mechanic
Desirable
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
Specific skills required for this position
Essential
3+ years’ experience operating as a CAT Mechanic .
Experience working on mining sites
Working level of Proficiency in English
Proven experience and ability to work under pressure
Capable of meeting challenges and surpassing manager/supervisor’s expectations
Ability to work at height
