Driver -Job Summary

GURUS is currently recruiting for a Driver. The ideal candidate will be deployed to work with one of its clients, Euronimba Liberia. The position will be based in Monrovia but may have to travel to other projects sites. The position reports to the Operations Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving staff around Liberia, maintain the client vehicle, serving as a driver dispatcher where appropriate, and ensuring self-safety, the safety of passengers and vehicle all through their assignment. Additional responsibilities include mapping out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most secure and appropriate trip and traffic and pick up clients from their place and office at the time requested. The driver will assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage, listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions, adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed; answer clients’ questions about the area and local places of interest; ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders; schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues and book car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car.

Position Requirements and Qualification

• Diploma in driving or 3-5 STAR Driving Certificates
• Valid license
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, which includes being comfortable and effective at communicating
• Knowledge of traffic regulations and signs
• Ability to use land Cruiser or other 4 Wheel Drive
• Demonstrated planning, organising schedule
• A high graduate of initiative, self-motivation, accountability, and independent judgment.
