Position Title: Referral and Marketing Coordinator

Overview

Good Vision Liberia, Inc. is dedicated to improving access to high-quality basic eye care for communities across Liberia. By building geographically improved networks and strategic outreach initiatives, we focus on providing affordable glasses while supporting the Liberian eye health system.

We seek a dynamic Referral and Marketing Coordinator to lead and implement strategies that build strong partnerships, drive outreach, and enhance patient engagement. This role will be critical in increasing referrals, strengthening relationships with local communities, and creating effective marketing campaigns to expand our reach and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Referral Network Coordination

  1. Develop and manage partnerships with healthcare facilities, NGOs, schools, community leaders, and other stakeholders to create a strong referral system.
  2. Serve as the primary contact for referral partners, ensuring timely communication and smooth patient transitions.
  3. Follow up on patients’ appointments and accompany them for surgery 4. Work along with colleagues to identify patients who are primarily in need of surgery 5. Track and analyze referral trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Marketing and Outreach

  1. Design and execute grassroots marketing campaigns to promote eye care services in underserved communities.
  2. Collaborate with the team to produce educational materials and marketing collateral, including flyers, posters, and social media content.
  3. Plan and oversee marketing activities in community, including school screenings, pop-up eye care clinics, and health fairs.
  4. Leverage traditional and digital media platforms to increase awareness and engagement. Data and Reporting
  5. Maintain accurate records of referral activities, marketing efforts, and patient engagement metrics.
  6. Provide regular reports to leadership on the effectiveness of referral and marketing strategies

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Health, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:

o 2+ years in marketing, outreach, or community engagement roles, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit sectors.

o Experience working in low-resource settings or with vulnerable populations is an advantage.

  • Skills:

o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

o Strong organizational and project management abilities.

o Proficiency in social media and digital marketing tools.

o Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.

Compensation
