Summary of Position:
This position will support the effective usage and management of PREVAIL’s IT resources. The Senior IT Assistant’s primarily responsible for computer operations, user and desktop support (hardware and software), helpdesk support duties to ensure smooth delivery of technology services. The Senior IT Assistant will monitor and assist others in the operation of computer hardware, software, and other peripherals to achieve desired results. S/he will utilize computer equipment, software, and diagnostic tools to perform a broad range of assistance. S/he will update supervisor on status of technical issues. The Senior IT Assistant will exercise judgment and creativity in selecting and applying procedures correctly and determines when to refer problems to the supervisor or next level of support.
Description of Responsibilities:
 Provides basic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for computer equipment (for example: Desktops, Laptops, Scanner, Photocopier, and Printers) and may assist with testing personal computers and peripherals on the network to diagnose, hardware versus software problems.
 Implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to PREVAIL IT Officer
 Install scanners, printers, and photocopiers’ drivers for required staff at site.
 Under the supervision of PREVAIL IT Manager, manage and provide wireless key access to required staff at site.
 Train Site staff on the use of various technology devices such as: Scanner, Smart Phone, Projector, and printer
 Provide weekly IT site reports by using IT reporting template approved.
 Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
 Education: Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or other related fields.
 Preferred Job-related Experience: At least 5-7 years of relevant experience
 Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Proven experience as IT Helpdesk Technician /System Administration or relevant position. Proficient in utilizing and analyzing CISCO Meraki and Mikro tik routers/switches access points. Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
