LINK NCA/ SMART ENUMERATOR
Base of MONROVIA

As a recognized humanitarian charity founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is active in more than 40
countries in the areas of nutrition, health, food security, water and hygiene. and sanitation. As part of the
quantitative Link Nutriton Causal Analysis of stunting in Grand Cape Mount, Montserrado, Grand Bassa, River
Cess, and Sinoe counties, Action Against Hunger is looking for EIGHTEEN LINK NCA/ SMART Survey
Enumerators.
Base of work : Grand Cape Mount, Montserrado, Grand Bassa, Rivercess, and/or Sinoe counties, with daily
displacement to towns sampled in the survey (85% of the duration of the contract; training before
displacement in Monrovia or other location TBD)
Duration of the contract : 3 weeks, including weekends
Principal mission: The LINK NCA/ SMART enumerator, with support by the Link NCA/ SMART Supervisor,
conducts quantitative data collection at household level for the Link NCA/ SMART indicators and
anthropometric measurements for children under 5 and women ages 15-49 years old.
ACTIVITIES:
▪ Participation in the development of the quantitative questionnaire.
▪ Apply the methodologies defined for the survey.
▪ Take precise anthropometric measurements in children under 5 years and women ages 15-49 years
old.
▪ Ensure the application of ethical considerations in all meetings with members of the sampled
communities
▪ Ensure the recording of all data collected in 100% compliance with the answers given by the
participants
▪ Ensure that the data collected is uploaded to a central database after each day of collection
▪ Ensure that the portable device (tablet) is functional and fully charged before starting work.
PROFILE :
▪ Proven working experience with anthropometric measurements of children
▪ Experience working in field settings
▪ Ability to manage complex situations and work in difficult-to-reach areas
▪ Good command of local languages
▪ Conflict management and ability to work in difficult contexts
▪ Good communication skills and team spirit
▪ Dynamism and autonomy
▪ Critical mind, curiosity
▪ Flexibility in work
▪ Experience in household data collection
▪ Experience working with Enumeration Areas
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
▪ Perfect mastery of Liberian English and English (read / written / spoken)
▪ Excellent communication skills
▪ Excellent writing skills
▪ Knowledge of Grand Cape Mount, Montserrado, Grand Bassa, River Cess, and/or Sinoe counties
▪ Strong leadership skills
▪ Ability to work independently and as a team member
▪ Neutrality, objectivity, sensitivity to local context, perseverance
▪ Preferred: Previous experience in KAP, SQUEAC, SMART, Barrier Analysis, and/or Link NCA
methodologies
