1.0 Background
As part of the phase-out process, it is important to support long-standing women’s rights partner organisations in strengthening their sustainability, resource mobilisation, and institutional resilience. This includes facilitating donor mapping, as well as providing learning, advisory, and knowledge-sharing engagements that allow partners to exchange experiences, identify opportunities, and prepare for continued programming beyond the phase-out period.
These engagements will provide structured spaces for reflection, peer learning, and technical support to enhance partners’ capacity to engage donors, diversify funding, and sustain feminist programming.
2.0 Purpose of the TOR
The purpose of this activity is to recruit a Technical Assistant to support long-standing women’s rights partners during the phase-out period of the POWER programme through participatory donor mapping and targeted learning, advisory, and knowledge-sharing engagements to strengthen sustainability and resource mobilisation.

9.0 Required Qualifications
The Technical Assistant should have an advanced degree in Development Studies, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. The applicant should have at least 5–7 years of experience working with civil society, including women’s rights organizations, with proven expertise in donor mapping, resource mobilization, and facilitating participatory learning processes and should have experience supporting organizations during transition or phase-out periods. Knowledge of bilateral, multilateral, foundation, and private sector donors is required. Strong analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills are essential.
The trainer will coordinate closely with Kvinna till Kvinna POWER Programme’s Manager and will report to the Country Director or designated focal person.
