  1. Invitation

The Liberia Agency for Community Development (LACD) invites qualified suppliers,

manufacturers, and authorized distributors to submit quotations for the supply, delivery,

installation, and commissioning of three (3) Community Solar Dryers to be use by the

smallholder farmers under the LIFE Programme in Liberia.

  1. Background

LACD is implementing the LIFE Programme with funding from Irish Aid through Concern

Worldwide. As part of efforts to strengthen agricultural value addition, reduce post-harvest

losses, and improve household incomes, LACD intends to procure community-scale solar dryers

for processing agricultural products produced by smallholder farmers and women farmer

(Mother groups).

  1. Scope of Supply

The successful supplier shall:

 Supply three (3 ) complete solar dryer.

 Deliver the equipment to LACD.

 Install and commission the equipment.

 Conduct operational and maintenance training for LACD staff and selected farmer

representatives.

 Provide manuals and warranty documentation.4. Technical Specifications

 Protect produce from rain, insects, dust, rodents, and direct sunlight

Durability

 Expected service life of at least 10 years

 Rust-resistant

 Suitable for outdoor use in Liberia5. Accessories

The quotation shall include:

 Moisture meter

 Digital thermometer

 Hygrometer

 User manual

 Maintenance manual

 Basic spare parts kit

  1. Installation and Training

The supplier shall:

 Install the equipment.

 Test the equipment before handover.

 Train at least five (5) LACD staff and selected farmer representatives on operation,

cleaning, routine maintenance, and safety procedures.

  1. Warranty

Minimum requirements:

 Twelve (12) months warranty

 Technical support

 Availability of spare parts

 After-sales service

  1. Supplier Qualifications

Interested suppliers shall provide:

 Company profile

 Business registration certificate

 Tax clearance (where applicable)

 Evidence of supplying similar equipment

 At least three references from previous clients

 Delivery schedule 9. Price Schedule

The quotation shall clearly indicate:

 Unit price

 Installation cost

 Training cost

 Transportation cost

 Taxes (if applicable)

 Grand Total

Prices shall remain valid for at least 60 days after the closing date.

  1. Delivery Period

Suppliers should indicate the earliest possible delivery period after receipt of Purchase Order.

Preferred delivery period: Within 8–12 weeks.

 Supporting documents

Quotations should be submitted in a sealed envelope or by email before the closing date

indicated above.

Late submissions may not be considered.

  1. LACD RightsLACD reserves the right to:

 Accept or reject any quotation.

 Cancel the procurement process without obligation.

 Request additional information from bidders.

 Award the contract in the best interest of the project.
