Kvinna till Kvinna (KTK) seeks to engage a qualified consultant or consultancy firm to develop, validate, and deliver a competency-based capacity-strengthening curriculum and a 10-day Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme for Women’s Rights Organisations (WROs) and civil society organisations under the Strengthen Her Voice Project. The assignment will produce a practical curriculum and complete training package that can be used by trained facilitators to cascade learning within their organisations, networks, and counties. The consultant will conduct an inception meeting with KTK, review relevant project documents and training resources, consult key stakeholders to identify learning needs, and expected competencies, and submit an inception report outlining the methodology, work plan, quality assurance measures, and implementation schedule.
The consultant will develop a practical, participatory, and competency-based curriculum suitable for adult learners. The curriculum will cover organisational development and governance, leadership, strategic planning, project cycle management, Results-Based Management, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, financial management, resource mobilisation, proposal development, advocacy, policy engagement, coalition-building, peacebuilding, conflict transformation, transitional justice, women’s leadership and participation, gender equality, human rights-based programming, safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, conflict sensitivity, inclusion, and Do No Harm.
The consultant will also prepare a complete training package consisting of a training curriculum, Facilitator’s Manual, Participant’s Manual, session plans, PowerPoint presentations, case studies, practical exercises, role plays, pre- and post-tests, training evaluation forms, competency assessment tools, participant action plans, and certification criteria. All materials must be submitted in editable electronic formats.
The consultant will facilitate a curriculum validation workshop with KTK and selected stakeholders, present the draft curriculum and training materials, document feedback, revise the curriculum and materials, and submit a brief validation report outlining the recommendations received and changes made.
The consultant will plan and facilitate a participatory 10-day ToT for at least thirty (30) participants. The training will apply adult learning approaches, including interactive presentations, practical demonstrations, group work, case studies, micro-training, facilitation practice, coaching, peer feedback, and competency assessments. Participants will be required to demonstrate their ability to facilitate training sessions through supervised practice.
Following the validation and ToT, the consultant will incorporate participant and stakeholder feedback, finalise the curriculum and training package, and submit a final consultancy report summarising the activities completed, participant outcomes, lessons learned, challenges, recommendations, and final deliverables.
The consultant will submit an inception report and detailed work plan; a draft competency-based curriculum; draft Facilitator’s and Participant’s Manuals; training presentations, session plans, exercises, case studies, and assessment tools; a curriculum validation workshop report; evidence of successful delivery of the 10-day ToT for at least 30 participants; the final curriculum and complete training package; and a final consultancy report.
The assignment will be completed within twenty (20) working days over a maximum period of forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of contract signature.
The consultant will report to the Country Director of Kvinna till Kvinna Liberia and work closely with the Programme Manager.
Interested consultants must submit a technical proposal outlining their understanding of the assignment, proposed methodology, implementation approach, work plan, quality assurance measures, and team composition. They must also submit a financial proposal showing professional fees, a detailed cost breakdown, and applicable taxes. Supporting documents must include the CVs of the Lead Consultant and proposed team members, evidence of at least three similar assignments completed within the last five years, two professional references, and a sample curriculum or training manual, where available.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following: Understanding of the assignment (10%), technical approach and methodology (20%), curriculum development experience (25%), Training of Trainers facilitation experience (20%), institutional strengthening experience (15%), qualifications of the consultant or proposed team (5%), and the financial proposal (5%).
The consultant will comply with KTK’s safeguarding, PSEA, child safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection policies. All activities must follow gender-responsive, survivor-centred, conflict-sensitive, inclusive, and Do No Harm principles. The successful consultant and team members will be required to sign KTK’s Code of Conduct and relevant safeguarding declarations before commencing the assignment.
