Mercy Corps is a non-religious, non-profit and non-governmental international humanitarian organization.

Mercy Corps is seeking qualified design-build contractors to participate in the

prequalification stage of its Urban Fabric Initiatives project. The Urban Fabric Initiatives

(UFI) under the Monrovia Integrated Development Project (MIDP) are small-scale public

space upgrading and community infrastructure projects co-designed and co-constructed by residents and urban stakeholders in the framework of urban projects funded by the French

Development Agency (AFD). To date, AFD has funded UFIs in Burkina Faso, Tunisia,

Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Kenya, all of which are part of the UFI Network. The Urban Fabric Initiatives is a two-year (May 2024 – May 2026) pilot project to be implemented in the

Greater Monrovia (Lakpazee, Wood Camp, and Shoe Factory Communities) area as part of the first initiatives designed under the Monrovia Integrated Development Project (MIDP)

framework. The overall objective is to improve access, utilization, and management of public spaces resilient to the effects of climate change. The UFI will be implemented closely with the Ministry of Public Works and local and national authorities (including Monrovia City

Council and Paynesville City Council).

The project is located in Greater Monrovia.

Construction Contractors (ALCC) and Engineering Society of Liberia (ESOL)

Completed Request for Qualification package must be submitted to Mercy Corps by July 25, 2024 at 5:00pm in the below method.

1. Email completed Request for Qualification package to lr-tenders@mercycorps.org

with the Tender Reference number in the email subject line.

After the closing date of this Tender Notice, the Request for Bid / Proposal will be sent to the Design-Build Contractors who submitted Request for Qualification Form and met the

qualification requirements. The Request for Bid / Request for Proposal will be sent according to the preference you have mentioned in the Request for Qualification Form.
